    thats so sik

@Lotus2200 but the kind of power needed to run something like a motor for example is just not transmitable. Tesla invented the Tesla coil which generates man made lightning effectively, that is power being transmitted but only by passing a bolt of lightning between two large metal objects, not safe or practical for anything really. in short, this technology can work, but not for powering cars, or charging your phone while its in your pocket. a perfect use for this would be a wireless mouse

  4. RustyNex says:

@Lotus2200 its to do with how power works, radiowaves for example are not very powerful, you could probably get hundreds of feet of wire, and pick up enough charge from all the radiowaves to light one LED. radio station transmitters use huge amounts of power just to do that. there is a big difference between a signal and actual power. this could in theory be done, for example you have a coil in the device and a coil under the device and it would work simillarly to a transformer without the core

  5. Lotus2200 says:

@RustyNex Please, correct me, if I’m wrong, but I believe that, from the explanation in this video. The power is only sent once communication between the two devices has been established. So, that should prevent the stray electricity that would cause those problems. Just like a wireless signal may pass through objects without much interruption, this should be able to as well. The electrical transfer shouldn’t have to be very large, since it will, presumably, be charging most of the time.

  6. RustyNex says:

@vanityvideo nice idea but not really how it works, to impliment that kind of thing you would have all kinds of issues from random metal objects heating up, to electrical storms in your house!

  7. TheBoyCharly says:

ima make one of these things but mine is gonna be better ima make mine solar. ha ha i already made one.

  8. NES088 says:

so is that desktop charger like the power matt in the sence that it needs a reciever on EACH device?

  9. vanityvideo says:

Can you imagine once this device gets upgraded and the wireless range of the product gets increased, you could just walk in your house and your phone will automatically be recharging without you even having to plug it in, you could just be watching TV or even talking on your phone, and your phone will just be getting wireless power and recharging in your pocket, and what if they implement outside, you could just drive your electric car while it gets charged wirelessly goodbye oil company fucks

  10. MirageScience says:

took us long enough to accept and market this tech?

  11. MirageScience says:

its 2 systems inductive coupling and chips communicating how much work to do to charge

  13. Movie16Master says:

an invention that has been around since the start of electricity. Just now coming out to the public

  14. The2010World says:

DONT READ THIS! In 1997 a girl called lauren was walikng in a forest and then a she just dissapeared no one ever found her untill 2000 when a yoing girl called Mary found her body and markings on her chest saying: I wasnt pretty enough” and now you have read this she will appear in your mirror saying your not pretty enough and kill you. by the way the girl called mary died shortly after. To be saved paste this to 5 other videos. THIS TRUE i dont like doing this

  15. jurassicpark1255 says:

simple 1:1 ratio transformer would do it… same thing… why are people stupid enough to think this is pwnsome when its an old invention

  16. nick14kn says:

first it doesn’t know the power, i’m about 99% sure that every device up there has aa 5v regulator built-in, the coil is just connected to charging pins

second the table looks like it turn on via reed switch, as you can see the bluetooth headset moves because if magnet on bottom simple circuitry.

I made an improved one and i’m about to get a patent on it.

  17. getyourpizzanow says:

thus the powermat came to be :o

  18. randyrox69 says:

yeah so what tesla come up with this hundreds of years ago

  19. MasterHasbar25 says:

    powermat sucks

  20. RandomVideoGuy100 says:

    wow
    thats cool

  21. liro13 says:

    @RoastySmish
you need read about nikola tesla XD

  22. alexander1993 says:

    @SolalChabauty
I cant see any cables? :P

  23. imapussyliquor says:

LOL yea. dont know why people are buying this. i mean, after you come back home, your gonna have to put the case on.. take it off again and again and again and its a hassle. i would rather have the wires. more reliable

  24. RoastySmish says:

If only you could charge anything without having to put it on anything, plug it in or anything, just go. But that’s impossible without sending random bolts of electricity killing everybody (Including yourself) in it’s path… xD Technology.

  25. DiZzyIzAn3RD says:

i have a palm pre, do they have a receiver for my phone by chance?
